TRC Public Gathering

Hey Ridge Church family!

The world’s current situation has offered challenging opportunities for the church in general to navigate new and un-chartered waters.  This is true for The Ridge Church as well.  I’ve mentioned on several occasions how TRC will need to be nimble and fluid during these ever-changing times.

With the ever-growing concern, world-wide and at home, regarding the coronavirus, I wanted to reach out and communicate our response of opening back up to gather publicly as a congregation and a healthy and robust community.

First, let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul; (2 Timothy 1:7) For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Secondly, let us exercise “wisdom.” (Proverbs 2:6) For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

The decision to gather publicly is not taken lightly and many things have been considered.

Here is our current plan, but could change; (as we are nimble and fluid)

  • We will begin gathering publicly on 05/31/2020 at 9am & 10:30am.
  • We will have kid’s ministry during both services.
  • We will host worship services online for both Sunday services.
  • We do encourage small groups and ministries to meet via Zoom or in person, if they are able to do so while adhering to the proper social distancing suggestions.
  • We are providing resources for kids, teens and families as well as several opportunities to connect online throughout the week.

There ARE changes to how we will gather publicly.  Please read THE RIDGE CHURCH HEALTH SAFETY MEASURES document at the end.

These are the steps that we are taking to make TRC a safe place for our country, state, town, and community:

If you or someone in your family tests positive for the virus, please let us know so we can find ways to help, pray and take any necessary precautions.

In addition, if you are sixty-years old or older, especially if you have a condition which makes you more susceptible to contracting the virus, you may want to consider attending services online, until the threat has decreased.

If you decide to stay home, please join us live on our website or our Facebook page at 9am or 10:30am services. Online giving is also available. Your continual financial support during this crisis is very much appreciated.

Some trust in chariots, others in horses, but we want to continue to trust in the name of the Lord our God.  Let’s rise above this situation, in faith!

With great love and care,

Pastor David Austin
